Problema al enviar un audio por WhatsApp desde la carpeta raw

Cuando mando a Whatsapp un audio que está guardado en la carpeta raw de mi aplicación, se manda el archivo pero sin formato, es decir, se manda un archivo sin título y sin la extensión.

He comprobado que ese archivo si le pongo manualmente la extensión .mp3 puedo escucharlo.

Código que estoy utilizando:

Cleaning/Fixing corrupted audio

I’ve got a weird issue. I have a several hour long dialogue recording I was editing, and there’s an isolated section, about 15 minutes long (pretty close to the end, but not exactly there) that I’ve run across where the audio is suddenly garbled.

Since the audio around the section is fine and you can still hear the voices, it seems like this is a data corruption and not necessarily a sudden mic issue(it was recorded in audacity, so I don’t have separate raw audio), I was wondering if anyone knew of a good way to repair, or at the very least, clean up this audio, as I’d hate to lose it entirely.

High CPU usage when KVM Windows guest plays audio

I’m running a Windows 10 virtual machine as my daily driver, it’s running on top of ubuntu server 16.04.
GPU and USB expansion card passthrough works just fine but I’m experiencing maxed out host CPU (shows up as “system” CPU usage but it is under qemu in htop) when the guest plays ANY audio, regardless if it’s to the hypervisor provided ich9 sound card, passed-through onboard sound card (it is in it’s own IOMMU group!) or the sound card that’s built in the GPU.

The passed onboard sound card is built into the Z97 chipset.

No audio on Ubuntu 18.04

The audio on everything is gone, nothing in browsers or viewers. I just downloaded 18.04, but it didn’t work on 16.04 either. I can watch videos fine but only with missing sound.

These are my specifications:

Trying to read audio (record) from one source and play in another (Windows 10)

I have a midi controller that I’m trying to make music with, but all my speakers are shit. Ideally, I’d like to be able to play music from my computer, hear it, and record it all from my computer.

So far all I’ve managed to do is download a digital microphone to record digital audio, but it’ll only play the sound from the digital audio to record in the digital speaker. I can record it, but I can’t listen to it while it’s being played. I’d like a way to have the audio record what’s playing from my computer and hear it at the same time.

Estoy intentando reproducir un audio en una pagina al hacer click en un boton pero que esta en otra pagina, es decir, hago click en el boton de la pagina1 y el audio se debe reproducir en la pagina2 en tiempo real.

Hacerlo en la misma pagina es sencillo, a continuación muestro código:

Para hacerlo de pagina1 a pagina2 intente importar el codigo js en ambas paginas poniendo la etiqueta solamente en la pagina2 y el botón “ALARMA” solo en la pagina1 pero no funciona, y la verdad no se como hacerlo.

¿Es posible hacer esto?, si alguien tiene un ejemplo o que me pueda orientar una forma de como hacerlo estaré muy agradecido…

Audio Switcher that can be controlled from the computer

I need an Audio Switcher (also called Audio Switch or Audio Selector I think) with 3.5 mm jacks, one that can be controlled from the computer – that apart from a manual control (a button on the switch). It should connect to the computer using USB, should use no batteries and not even a charger. The USB should provide more than enough power to feed the circuits used for switching and for communicating with the PC.

I need something similar with this: Toslink Switch 3 Ports Digital Optical Audio Switcher 3×1 with IR Remote Control but using 3.5 mm standard jack instead of S/PDIF and using the computer to control it instead of using Infrared remote.

Compensating Loudspeaker frequency response in an audio signal

I have been working on a project in which I was required to work on the audio signals recorded from the loudspeaker kept in front of a filter. So, to simply explain it:

Now the project depends on finding how the filter reacts to the signals from the loudSpeaker. The loudSpeaker outputs a frequency sweep.

When I saw the datasheet of the loudspeaker I found that it had a certain frequency response which was necessary to compensate within the sweep. But now that I have already taken the readings into the microphone I have to subtract the loudSpeaker frequency response from the final spectrum.

A possible way to that is Deconvolution. But I can only explain that in theory.

Can someone help me how to implement these functions in MATLAB? Or a different way to solve this problem???

Audio and video… and tango?

Audio and video are two (apparently XX-century) concepts.

Both take the same form as 1st-person sing., present tense Latin verbs. Wiktionary articles for the English words (audio, video) assert that their etymology actually is that of those verbal forms, and so does (apparently) Etymonline (audio, video).

I could be wrong, but I can’t think of any older word derived from Latin in this way. Instead, it reminds me of some initial translation attempts by people with little inflectional background, looking for dictionary entries for verbs, assuming that the verb is its 1st-pers. s. form.

This sounds wrong to me, as I can’t see a reason why someone could want to name something an I see recorder, or an I hear wave.

Question: Is there a reason to draw these words from that verbal forms in specific? Or is it just bad Latin from an era when Latin is no longer the language of science?

Bonus fact: I thought the same applied to tango, but it seems to have a different origin.
