Changing ipython history directory

I’m working on a remote computer where the home directory is on a disk that is full. There is nothing I can do to change that.

I would like to install anaconda with ipython to somewhere else. However, they seem to be trying to write history to my home directory under ~/.conda and ~/.ipython

Is there any way to change the location where ipython and anaconda store their history? The remote computer probably runs Ubuntu.

Changing the averaging window dynamically in a moving average

I have some temperature decay data (2k points) that is very noisy for large time values. I don’t want to do much or any smoothing to the data early on, but would like a large window to average over for the later data. Ideally, if I could do a moving average where the averaging window changes depending on where in the list you are (no averaging in the beginning and averaging over 30 or 40 values in the end)…I’m not sure how to implement this in mathematica.

Here’s an example of the data (the lower graphs)

I can use a Wiener Filter twice with a radius of 3 that cleans up the data fairly well, but I’d like to try a moving average to preserve earlier values and see if I can do better with the later data.

Have we observed classes changing from open to closed, or vice versa?

Classes of words in languages tend to be either “open” (accepting new members readily) or “closed” (rejecting new members). This distinction is fairly easy to see: compare how readily English accepted the verb “to google”, versus the hundreds of years of resistance to singular “they”. So descriptively, verbs in English are an open class, while pronouns are closed.

But have we ever observed a class of words changing from open to closed, or from closed to open? Or an intermediate “half-open” stage, where new words are accepted but not commonly used or always seen as foreign?

Thank you!

Changing the title tag from a shortcode

I currently have a shortcode which dynamically swaps out locations on a page to make each page specific to a location.

For example the url

``````http://mywebsite.com/offers/scotland/
``````

Would make the H1 of my website be

``````Special Offers Scotland
``````

But now I also want to change the title tag to allow effect search engine optimisation. I am unsure if it’s possible to do this within my shortcode as it will execute within the loop and therefore the header.php has already finished loading.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Email doesn’t get sent even after changing the email address for error: The target object email address is…

I am running into an issue when I want to send an email via apex. The problem happens occasionally only with some emails from some domains.

The error in specific reports:

```Messaging.SendEmailError[getMessage=The target object email address is currently marked as bounced.;getStatusCode=EMAIL_ADDRESS_BOUNCED;getTargetObjectId=0030Y00001OnmiuQAB;] ```
The actual bounced reason for this specific contact after querying it is:
`554 5.4.7 [internal] exceeded max time without delivery`
Test 1:
Now, if you hover the triangle you see the explanation shown in the picture. Even if I change the email address(as the message suggests) and retry to send the email, I still get the above error.
Test 2:
When I use the same the email address but in a different contact(used as `target object id` later on) the email gets sent out without an error.
Considering the last test, I am wondering if the message they provide is accurate at all as using the same email address but in a different object, sends the email out. Whereas, changing the email as they suggest still doesn’t solve the problem.
Adding a new Ttm-Website in our cd environment has made this environment not available anymore. We have added a new website domain, restarted the preview service and when we launch a request, it’s a 404 ERROR, saying that Localization is not found. We have also executed:
Sync-TtmCdEnvironment
but still not working. We decided to republish the page and the publish settings, but still getting the same error. Any ideas? We are using DXA 2.0
In the session service log we get the following:
We have restarted our web application, but it’s not working
Drupal sidebar block is not visible after changing title of some sidebar blocks [on hold]
I am completely new to Drupal. As part of my new job, I am handling a Drupal (version 8) website too. The website is using ‘Gavias Vinor’ theme. I renamed the title of blocks in Right Sidebar region (structure -> block layout -> Right Sidebar -> configure). After that sidebar is not showing in the website.
The blocks in Sidebar region are Lists (Views). I have 4 view blocks in this region. Those 4 blocks are not showing on the website. I tried to place logo(custom block) in Sidebar region, and it is showing.
.
What can I do to solve this problem?
A coupon collector type problem with changing probabilities
Suppose we are flipping coins starting at some time $$t$$. At time $$t$$ the probability we obtain heads is $$frac{1}{sqrt{t}}$$. If the coin lands tails, at time $$t+1$$ the probability of heads is now $$frac{1}{sqrt{t+1}}$$ and so on… What is the expected number of flips until the coin lands heads? In particular I would be interested in an upper bound on the expectation.. If this is difficult suppose we also make the assumption that it is bounded by $$T$$, e.g. there at most $$T > t$$ coins.
If the probabilities are constant at $$p$$ at each round, the expected value is $$1/p$$ which is like one coupon being collected in the coupon collector problem. Since the probability of heads is less than $$1/sqrt{t}$$ at each round, $$sqrt{t}$$ is a lower bound for the expectation. On the other hand, the probability is greater than $$1/sqrt{T}$$ in the bounded case, and so $$sqrt{T}$$ is an upper bound. The question is where in this regime $$[sqrt{t}, sqrt{T}]$$ does the expectation fall..
