Lightest node capable of returning transaction information from RPC managed wallet?

I tried to run a Geth light node, but it seems I can not retrieve transaction information from the RPC server. I’m not sure whether that’s a limitation of the light node, or rather me not retrieving the information in the right way.

I run the command below to get the data, but it doesn’t seem to work:

$ curl --data '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"eth_getTransactionByHash","params":["tx hex hash"],"id":1}'
-H "Content-Type: application/json" -X POST http://127.0.0.1:8545
$ {"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"result":null}

Is eth_getTransactionByHash supposed to work with a light node?

If not, what’s the lightest node (in terms of disk space required to sync the blockchain) capable of returning that information from the RPC server managed wallets?

How Much Information Do Canadian and USA Immigration Share

It’s common knowledge that USA and Canadian immigration are probably the most tightly coupled immigration collaboration in the world.

How much do they really share on applicants, immigrants, border crossers?

PS: The question is not about whether they share information, that’s already settled and might even already have an answer here.

Music (Noise) doesn’t save track information

I just installed Juno. I copied over my music files and apparently some of them were missing track information because they weren’t getting grouped together (by album and artist).

So I right-clicked on the music files, selected “Edit Song Info…” and added the missing track information. Clicked “Save”, but it didn’t save because if I went back to the track information, it was still missing.

Installed Rhythmbox and I was able to save the missing track information. As soon as I changed the information there, Rhythmbox would automatically re-organize it and group it properly.

Went back into Music (Noise), but it didn’t pick up the new information. Some of the music file were still saying “unknown artist” or “unknown album”. Tried removing and the re-adding them to the library, but that didn’t change anything.

So…
1) Why isn’t Music saving track information?
2) Why doesn’t Music pick up the changes automatically and reload the Music files when the changes were made by another program?

Aside from these issues, I like Noise. It comes close to the look and feel of Banshee which would be my favorite player if it was still supported.

UPDATE: I had an old laptop with Freya installed on it. I can edit music files with Music there. I have a VM with Loki and I could edit music files there too. Just can’t edit them on Juno

UPDATE#2: I found the answer to my second question about how to get Music to pick up changes. I found that here: How do I force Noise to rescan my music library?
But I still don’t know why Music doesn’t save any changes made to track information.

Dog bite information

When a dog bites a person, why is it necessary to take about 5 injections or needles? Why not just one big injection?

Do they all have the same medicine? Or does each one have its own medicine?

Is the time between them important? I see on the internet different periods such as (the first one should be taken immediately, the second one is after 3 days, then once per week) and you can find other different sequences.

My research is:

  1. The immediate vaccine is human rabies-specific immunoglobulin (HRIG) and this explains the first shot. Vaccination is also for Rabies, Tetanus, and maybe some other bacteria. For me, this means one or two more injections. One for Rabies and Tetanus and One for the other bacteria or whatever the combination is. This is a total of 3 injections including the immediate one. So why the 5 injections? I mean what could be the other diseases/bacteria?
  2. Is it possible to take all the vaccines through one big shot? I know it depends on the amount/size of each vaccine. Or maybe it is required to wait for a few days to reduce the side effects or whatever the reason is, right? This source compares dog vaccine to human vaccine so it’s not that related and I can’t find useful sources.
    I’m not talking about inventing new techniques like this one. I just wonder why don’t we combine/mix the 5 or 6 injections together.

  3. The number of injections vary from one case to another. That’s why I think that only the first injection has a different solution but the other successive injections have the same solution/medicine, right? At the same time, some sources say these successive injections are different because they are for different medicines like Tetanus…etc. So I got confused.

  4. I knew the answer to the third question. Yes, the time is important and a delay of 1 to 2 days is considered acceptable as your antibody levels will still be high enough to fight off an infection.

Does Ubuntu 18.04 allow snap packages to be reviewed / rated, and if so, where do I see that information?

For years, I’ve relied on the ratings and reviews in the Software Center to guide some of my application choices, when there are multiple applications that are available for a given need. Independent reviews from users can be useful to nudge me away from poorly working applications and towards ones that are superior. (I’m fully aware that some people may find those reviews and/or ratings not useful to them, but they are useful to me.)

I have found that I can neither view nor submit ratings or reviews for snap applications that are accessible in the Software Center of Ubuntu 18.04. I can find no answers to this on various snap web pages or in the Software Center itself as to why this is. Is it possible to publish ratings and reviews of these snap apps, and if so, where add my own ratings and reviews and view those submitted by other users?
