What is the best way and what work is involved in fixing this wheel stud?

I have damaged wheel studs on a hub and want to replace them. Initially I thought I could just hammer the studs out press new ones in however from the pics you can see that the studs are too close to the back component, if you try to hammer it a little it will hit the back part out and you will not be able to maneuver it out, my mechanic also said this. This is the case even if you rotate the hub.

It seems to me my options are to:

a) dissamble the hub and put the studs in. However I cannot see any nuts or bolts to undo which will remove the back parts. This being the case, what would I have to do to remove the parts in order to press the new studs in?

b) buy a new hub and put that in however once again I cannot see any way to undo the current assembly i.e. no nuts or bolts will let me dissasemble it.

c) by the complete assembly(i.e. second hand) and just put that in. In this case I think i’d just have to put the axle through the middle and then just connect the top and bottom ends. What does this entail because I think I can see a ball joint at the bottom so is there a special way to connect that part?

Please answer above questions and tell me, in order which is the easiest and probably least costly methods to use.

What grammar is involved in 「きつこない」?

I just heard this word in a film called, 『リップヴァンウィンクルの花嫁』. In one of the scenes, the protagonist dons a wedding gown, and then another character asks her, “Is it not too tight?” which sounds exactly like きつい with the removed, and then to which こない is attached, resulting in きつこない.

Although this is purely 空耳, I do think I’ve got it right. Therefore, what is the grammar at work here? I assume that こない comes from くる, but I cannot find anything about くる being attached to the stem of an i-adjective. Normally, I would expect to hear/see きつすぎない.

Is this maybe dialectal, or have I simply got it all wrong? If this is actually a grammar point, where else could one apply it?

What would the rules of succession be if the crown matrimonial was involved? [migrated]

I’m writing a story that involves the death of a king. The king was married, and had granted his spouse the crown matrimonial, allowing them to rule jointly. (I’m pretty sure this is how this works, but correct me if I’m wrong. Either way, it’s fantasy, and it would make sense with the characters if it worked this way.)

The king also had a child. At the time of the king’s death, the child was underage, but there is historical precedent in the country for an underage person acceding to the throne without a regent.

Who would be the new ruler–the king’s spouse, who had been ruling alongside the king quite successfully for years? Or his child, who would accede without question were it not for the spouse? Would the king’s wishes matter at all in this, or would they be ignored after his death?

I wasn’t able to find any historical precedent for an issue like this– in fact, I wasn’t able to find a real-life example of the crown matrimonial being granted at all. Demanded, sure, but not granted. I’m sure some of y’all know more about succession than I do–is there anything that causes you to believe that it might turn out one way or the other?

Challenges involved in designing an Industrial Robotic Arm [on hold]

I was wondering if any robotics engineers around would kindly, provide suggestions on the following:

I was recently hired by a company that wants to implement a robotic solution in manufacturing for a client. It is companies first time venturing into robotics and I am the robotics intern (I recently graduated). They want me to construct a ROS compatible collaborative antropomorphic robotic arm from scratch in four months with a very limited budget (under 10000 USD). I’ve observed that such kinds of robot arms at the very minimum cost about 30000 USD. And based on a little research my conservative estimate of designing such an arm is more than 30000 USD (assuming if we choose off the shelf solutions such as modular robotic joints with in-built sensors). Additionally, looking at the history of the state-of-art cobots, I’ve come to realize that it took many years of research and design to come up with such perfection.

As I’ve understood, the budget and time-frame sounds preposterous, maybe I am wrong. I want to give them a practical time-frame and estimated cost with sound reasoning, because so far they don’t seem to be convinced by my reasoning. So anyone who has had experience in designing industrial robot, could kindly answer the following for me:

  1. Is it really possible to design industrial robots in such a time frame? How much time does it usually take to design such a robot usually by a seasoned robotics engineer?

  2. What kind of costs should I bear in mind other than just the cost of individual components?

  3. Are there any constraints/risks (other than time and money) that I haven’t foreseen that one could tell me?
