If virus is an inanimate(non-living) structure, why it poses tendency/intelligence to spread itself to others?

A virus has no aim, no agency but just a chemical propagation(DNAs, RNAs). Still, it accounts for millions of deaths and horrible nature.

Rabies, for example, is a very deadly disease with a fatality rate of 90%. One of the terrible symptoms of this disease is Hydrophobia(fear of water). I can surely understand the fact that the victim cannot drink or fear water because virus controls it to as water reduces the chances of transmission.

But why transmit in the first place. If a virus is still aimless like a rock on the ground with the couple of DNAs, how it evolved to replicate and reproduce.

If a virus being inanimate did it, why can’t a rock or any other aimless non-living thing do it?

How did Jason Bourne know the location of the only other living Treadstone assassin?

I don’t remember a hint on the movie how Jason Bourne found the home of Jarda, the only other living Treadstone assassin. Is it mentioned somewhere or are we just supposed to assume that Bourne simply used his amazing resourcefulness to find him?

A verb for “high standard of living” or ” high quality of life”

I would like to write a sentence similar as follows but after a Google search, I noticed using the verb to reach could make the sentence sound unnatural. So which verbs can I use instead of the verb to reach?

It took centuries to reach to high standard of living we have today.

It took centuries to reach to high (level) quality of life we have
today.

Living at the equator (Columbia), how to figure out the orientation towards north using the sun falling through a window?

The real life issue is this:

A friend is moving to a new apartment. What is bad here, is if the apartment is getting full sun in the morning or afternoon. So the Sun goes from east to west, right? If the broad side of the house is facing towards the Sun, it is bad.

Just have a look at the image:

enter image description here

and everything in between can be ok, or bad.

Now the problem he has, what direction a house is facing, is not in the descriptions of the houses. But: often in the pictures you can see how the sun light falls into a room. See here:

How to estimate in what direction the house is facing using this picture?

I am not sure to what type of physics this question belongs.

Living in the suburbs Haram?

I came across this hadith rated hasan by Al Albani:

Thawban said, “The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, told me, ‘Do not live the suburbs. The person who lives in the suburbs is like someone who lives in the graves.'”

What does this mean?

Living near a highway in SoCal with no standard windows – how to install A/C?

I have an air purifier and keeping all windows/doors closed is going to be a must. But the humidity and temperature are issues now. I can get a dehumidifier but then I’m left with the temperature problem – I like a cool 68F. It seems like my options are:

  • Portable A/C with some kind of tube – I haven’t seen any on Amazon that have good reviews though. I also don’t know where I would go about installing the exhaust tube.
  • In-window AC – I’d be fine with this if it fit a standard outlet however none of my windows seem compatible with this setup (see below for photos).
  • Evaporative cooler – this seems nice in theory but I’m in SoCal where humidity can be an issue. I also haven’t seen any with promising consumer reviews.
  • Ductless – I like this but… $$$

Am I missing any options? How would you go about keeping your air crisp, clean, and cool in my situation?

Pics of my windows:

BATHROOM – one little window, sliding:

enter image description here

KITCHEN – two windows, sliding:

BEDROOM – one window, sliding:

And then I have a sliding door in my living room.

I consider myself to be handy-capable – enough so to remove windows and such. I just repainted my place, replaced all outlets/switches, installed a fan etc so I’m comfortable making modifications as needed but I’d like to keep costs (time, money) as low as possible.

How to say that action of living became easier?

I wanna say that process of living became better now. I could say Life became easier. But it’s not exact form that I want. I wanna say that it’s not life itself became so, but process of living.
I think like that: It's became easier to live. Is that correct ?
