Would it be considered a valid Ghusl if I had a bit instant adhesive stuck near thumb nail while taking Ghusl…

I was fixing my broken specs with an instant adhesive (super glue) and a bit of it got stuck near my hand’s thumb-nail and finger-nail.

I tried to remove it while taking Ghusl but it didn’t get washed away completely and now after Ghusl I still have a bit of it near both nails.

I want to ask that is my Ghusl valid as I’ve listened that each and every small part of the body should be drenched in water for completion of Ghusl.

Please let me know.

Can I travel within the Schengen area if I currently don’t have a valid visa or residency permit?

I googled all over and couldn’t find a definitive answer on this.
I arrived to Poland on a Schengen visa and applied for a temporary residence permit on my 88th day in the Schengen area. I got my passport stamped saying that I applied and am waiting for that permit. While it is being processed, can I travel to other Schengen countries? My visa is still valid, but what about the 90/180 rule?

New project hates apache commons, …valid reasons? [on hold]

I am about 19 years into my career as a Java Developer(back-end)… Like many I’ve used Apache commons for years and the “usual suspect” frameworks like Spring.

I am on a new project, and the team dreads Apache Commons(all of libraries)..I find it very odd..

The reason explained that libraries are bad and tie the code base down to a dependency while focusing developers to learn new libraries. .. in a nutshell this project does not like 3rd party dependencies..I honestly never considered Apache Common libraries as troublesome dependencies. I am on a great team, but just find this thought process odd….

Is there some truth to their argument less dependencies on Apache commons make better software?

Is this a valid site architecture?

We have a legacy site that was written a while back using MVC. It’s a valid MVC for the most part except for the Data Access Layer. The site has Models, Views, and Controllers. However, instead of using Entity Framework, they use web services that use ADO to execute stored procedures.

For example: say we have a page to display all users. We’d have a users.cshtml view, a UsersController.cs class, and a UserViewModel.cs class.

The GetUsers() method in the Users controller would call a web service method called WebService.GetUsers(). This web service would then call a stored procedure named dbo.GetUsers which would contain something like select * from Users where Active = true.

I’ve never seen this type of approach before and was wondering if it was something that was made up by whoever made this site, or if it’s an architecture style from the past?

I would also like to know if this is a good architecture to use.

Is my Turkey e-Visa valid if I have used my single-entry Schengen visa?

I have a single entry Schengen visa (business) valid from 16 Nov – 30 Nov 2018. I am planning to visit Belgium on 16 November and Slovakia on 18 November. Then I plan to visit Turkey on 24-26 November.

I have already obtained a Turkey e-Visa valid from 17 November 2018 to 15 May 2019. Is it possible for me to travel to Turkey with this single-entry e-Visa since I am going to use my single-entry Schengan visa before travel to Turkey?

How valid is it to refer to “fundamentals”, “origins” etc. how are they to be judged?

How valid is it to refer to “fundamentals”, “origins” etc. how are they to be judged?

Particularly, consider e.g.

Darwin’s On the Origin of Species.

Now, to claim “the origin” suggests that it’s a foundational basis, right?

However, I’m unsure as to whether Darwin for example was able to demonstrate that it’s in fact the origin and logically speaking “the only origin there is”.

Could it then be considered “professional” that one’d avoid using terms that make/imply claims that cannot be supported?

Darwin could have called the Origin of Species as “A Study on Species”?

It’s possible that “big words” are used to claim unwarranted weight.

More particularly,

Consider the social and time-relative aspect of truth. Then to say something is fundamental requires that it’s such regardless of the people and the time (and place). But is such ever possible?

Is “глядя на нас, сразу понятно, что …” grammatically valid?

I heard the following phrase in one media advertisement:

Глядя на нас, сразу понятно, что я … , а он … .

Subconsciously I doubt if it is grammatically correct phrase.

Could you clarify it please?

SFDX CI: Invalid record ID. Specify valid record ID value

I’m trying to follow Continuous Integration Using Salesforce DX trailhead module, however, I’m using my own repo (I didn’t clone the sample repo that is provided).

I’ve used their .travis.yml file and I followed all the steps, so a Travis build is properly started whenever I push to my repo. I can see that the JWT-based authentication passes correctly, as well. However, the script always fails at the below line 498:

enter image description here

I tried running the above line directly from my local machine in the same project, connected to the same DevHub and it works, it creates a scratch org without a problem. I’m not sure what could be the issue?

UPDATE

Something weird is going on here. Build fails 9/10 times, even if I’m not changing .travis.yml or any relevant files (e.g. – just by updating README.md file, or re-running the build, it sometimes passes, but most of the time it still fails).

Below is the full stack trace that gets returned when I include the --json flag:

Final update

I switched to GitLab Runners and the same script worked fine. I can only conclude that there is some underlying issue with Travis builds, but I don’t how to solve it.
