    Video / Screen Capture based testing tool?

    Does anyone know a good piece of software which software engineers / testers / etc can use to do either (1) manual testing or (2) automated testing? It should have the ability to do a screen capture of their tests (either manually by starting/stoping capture OR automated via code/REST API). Ideally the video could be uploaded to a youtube style repository (SaaS product or installed product) where they or other team members (e.g. testers, engineers, managers, etc) can log in and see videos of runs of previous tests. Ideally videos could be marked for review so management / QA could mark accepted / declined which would result in the software going back to engineering and the cycle repeated. Ideally for a test you could see the history via a series of videos. Also, interested in screen capture for not only browser testers but also used for any UI based software.

    Also, very interested if the screen video capture can be controlled by a REST API.

    Bit of a brain dump there but does anyone know of a piece of software which can achieve this?

    Deixar o vídeo de iframe do youtube como background no site, e chamar section por cima do video!

    Galera, quero deixar um vídeo na página inicial do site que estou criando com HMTL E CSS, mas quando eu clicar em alguma opção do menu sidebar, a section faça a transição sobrepondo meu video, no caso deixando ele no fundo. Mas o que está acontecendo é o contrário. Deixei a parte do html do header e do iframe logo abaixo, será que é só css que falta ?

    Página inicial do meu site
    Video Sobrepondo a section

    css:
    div#IframePosicao {
      position: absolute;
      overflow:auto;
      top: 30%;
      left: 45%;
      z-index: 5;
      margin-top: -155px;
      margin-left: -200px;
    }

    header{
        width: 25%;
        background: #fff;
        position: absolute;
        float: left;
        left: 0;
        top: 5%;
        z-index: 5;

    How do I specify the HEVC codec in the HTML5 video source type attribute?

    (Originally posted on Stack Overflow)

    I’d like to load and play a smaller HEVC-encoded video on web browsers with support for it.

    I’m using this code on Safari 11 (macOS 10.13), which has support for the HEVC format.

    In Web Inspector > Network Panel, I see that Safari loads both clip.mp4 and clip-hevc.mp4. If I inspect the video element, I see that clip.mp4 is playing, not clip-hevc.mp4. I see the same thing on iOS 11.

    When I call HTMLMediaElement.canPlayType() on the types I specified, I get

    • maybe on video/mp4; codecs=hevc
    • probably on video/mp4; codecs=avc1
    • Nothing on variants of the HEVC codec I’ve seen (e.g., hvc1, hev1)

    Something else I noticed: When I remove the clip.mp4 option, clip-hevc.mp4 downloads and plays just fine!

    How can I make sure that only the best supported MP4 variant downloads and plays in the browser?

    how to implement autofocus for video projector

    I have a modified pico video projector that I need to add an autofocus to.
    The focusing ring already has a fast stepper motor added to it.

    If the focus had to be done on the middle of the projection frame I suppose I could just put a laser distance sensor in the optical path of the projection by having a 45 degree IR reflect, visible spectrum pass dichro attached after and maybe before the final focusing and zooming lens. But I want the ability to focus to any point in the frame. This requires the sensor to be able to be rotated, or if it goes through lenses, tilted in two axis. I could do that with a small gantry system with stepper motors and the distance sensor attached to it, or galvonometer mirrors that would reflect the distance sensor beam to a given point/angle, but there may be a better way or a better sensor for this I am not aware of which wouldn’t require so many parts.

    Requirements are ability to measure distance up to 4 meters, accuracy about at least +-5cm up to 1 meter, +-10cm after that, which I believe is not much to ask from a sensor and acceptable accuracy for a video projection focus. Measuring on shiny or reflective surfaces don’t need to be supported as projectors don’t project properly on those.

    Having a camera and software which focuses until software finds the sharpest result would work if it was fast enough (200 ms). As I understand with this method the lens is focused until the sharpest image is detected which is slow.

    I downloaded the latest synaptics driver after reinstalling windows 7 64 bit, and there is a video titled “sysnobuttons” that is used in the driver menu to demonstrate a feature. I tried to delete it but it needs permission from SYSTEM, in which the permissions are not editable. Any help would be great. Thanks.

    How to run blender video editor on a weak graphics card?

    Preview area of blender video editor is always white (blank) no matter what the picture or the video is.
    enter image description here

    After a little research, I found out it’s due to my old OpenGL:
    enter image description here

    I can’t afford to buy a good graphics card and I really need this video editor. My graphics card was able to run many video editing software such as sony vegas…etc. It was also able to run 3D max and Cinema 4D. The only withdraw is that the rendering process is slow. So I feel like my card is able to run blender’s video editor but I don’t know how to tweak it.

    I’d like answers with creative ideas. I wouldn’t like the answer to be like You can’t.

    Video decoding RPi 2 vs RPi 3

    I currently have a RPi 2 which has KODI installed and I use purely as a media center. I’ve noticed a few video’s seem to stutter on it though; some 720p content stutters, and most 1080p content stutters.

    Given the RPi 3 uses exactly the same GPU, is the RPi 3 any better, or exactly the same?
