How the ideas are protected on freelance world?

I’m new to hiring freelancers for work. I’m having few ideas but I’m not sure what are methods/mechanisms available in freelance world to protect my ideas.

What is preventing a freelancer to listen to my idea and sell it to someone? Or work with me on my ideas to create code/architecture and share with others?

fantasy world set in renaissance type era about a painter swordsman

I only read sci-fi and fantasy. This was a fantasy story set in a world of monsters and giants and adventurers and gods and seers and an evil overlord. The protagonist is a painter (with an Italian sounding name- Benotolli?). He struck me as an Italian member of the three musketeers. The swordsman early in the book talks about his uncles beating his worst traits out of him: fair play and chivalry. He is painting a field / still life when he sees bandits accosting a woman. He goes over and ends up trickily stabbing one of the bandits in the back and kills the other two in methods most foul. He saves the girl. The two of them hook up with a giant who is part of the rebel forces fighting against the evil overlord. Bertolli sp? ends up joining the rebellion (for her), romances and ends up losing the girl because he doesn’t believe.

The book ends with him finally finding the seer who has the answer to the question he was questing after. The seer shares the secret of life with him: “things change.” I apologize it has been over a decade since a read this book and forget much of the details. It was published in the 1990s I think. I would like to reread it, but can not find it via google search or Amazon search.

How does Star Platinum get the same ability as the World?

We don’t usually see “Stands” with the same ability. How does Jotaro develop a power similar to Dio’s in the final battle. And now, everytime he uses his stand, he shouts out “Star platinum the World” as if he adopted Dio’s power. What happened in the final fight with Dio?

Need advice concerning the creation of open world game in Unity 3D

I just wanted to ask for advice those being an expert in Unity 3d and overall in game industry about how it is possible to create an open-world game by means of Unity 3D, that is, I already tried to combine several tiles of terrains, 4 to be exact, and their respective size is 500×500. However, once I started to add the fifth terrain to those terrains, Unity stopped working. Moreover, another problem that I faced was with light mapping in Unity, that is, the more terrain I add to the scene the more it is difficult to bake the light mapping. The question is if I am doing correctly by adding terrains to each other and how open-world games are actually created. Yes, I heard of chunk loading but is it possible to code it on my own without using ready plugins. Lastly, Is it possible to combine tiles of terrains just manually without using any tools like Terrain Slicing kit or Gaia please I really need your help Thank you for your attention))).

Post world war one mandates model

Pre world war one and during world war one, the game of world politics was that of direct empirical rule, wheras afterwards, the mandate model was accepted, stating that for A type mandates there will be a full withdrawal and free states will be founded

Of course history shows that all mandates, even those who were given perpetually, were ended

What caused that change to occur? pressure from the us alone? what made the (so called) winners of the war, Britain and France, accept that model, over the ruling model that they had before?

Japan xml files not aligning with world imagery in Global Mapper

I’ve downloaded some xml files from Japan’s Geospatial Authority (5m DEM, GML) and am trying to pair them with either Global Mapper’s world imagery option or a jpg+kml picture from SAS Planet.

I’ve tried a few different projection options (mostly using the Japanese Projection System + Japanese Plane datum combination) but when I overlay the imagery, I get one block of color. When I zoom out, it looks like the Japan files have imported at a very small size, and the block of color is a pixel of the overlay image which is much, much larger. Is there a way to correct this?

World space coords for 2d images

How can I make an 2d image using World space coords with a shape? Like a circle instead of a quad.In 3d you can modify the vertices but if I want a smooth circle there will be too much vertices. What I want to achieve is something like a cirle mask that will be move over the global texture at runtime.
So has anyone done something similar?
I’ve tried combining some shaders with two uv’s one for world space and one for alpha uv mesh but it gives some weird artifacts.
enter image description here

This is the how the shader looks on the right:

Shader "Unlit/WorldspaceTiling"
 {
     Properties
     {
         _MainTex ("Texture", 2D) = "white" {}

 }
 SubShader
 {
      Tags {"Queue"="Transparent" "IgnoreProjector"="True" "RenderType"="Transparent"}
 LOD 100

 Blend SrcAlpha OneMinusSrcAlpha
 Cull Off
     Lighting Off
     ZWrite Off
     Fog{ Mode Off }
     Pass
     {
         CGPROGRAM
         #pragma vertex vert
         #pragma fragment frag
         #include "UnityCG.cginc"

         struct appdata

         sampler2D _MainTex;
         float4 _MainTex_ST;

         v2f vert (appdata v)
         {
             v2f o;
             o.vertex = mul(UNITY_MATRIX_MVP, v.vertex);

             // Gets the xy position of the vertex in worldspace.
             float2 worldXY = mul(_Object2World, v.vertex).xy;
             // Use the worldspace coords instead of the mesh's UVs.
             o.uv = TRANSFORM_TEX(worldXY, _MainTex);

             return o;
         }

         fixed4 frag (v2f i) : SV_Target
         {

         ENDCG
